Cute, but I'm pretty sure that's the music from the kids show Caillou which I'm glad my kids have aged out of enjoying.

Yep, very cute video, but the mute button needs to be employed. My god, I will never get that tune out of my head.

I'm convinced that the only reason my kid still watches it is because she knows that it annoys the hell out of her parents.

Is it trying to pick the koala's nose? Are koala boogers tasty to butterflies?

The next video of that koala that Youtube played for me was also delightful.

(...for non-Australians and/or people who get confused by unusual capitalization, the koala in that video is a "joey" but isn't named Joey; the video description says her name is Willow. The butterfly is anonymous. Or maybe it's called Butterfly, not clear.)

The butterfly's name is Gary.

You know he ate that bug, right?
That's why it ends so abruptly.

More likely she took a swipe at it, DigDoug, wouldn't go well with those claws.

That video was silly.

The butterfly probably just flew off. Besides, having a butterfly on your nose is agony! They hook their tiny little butterfly claws right in your nostrils. Koalas must have tough noses.

I think it's salt, moisture and smelly organic stuff they're after so essentially yes.

The focus on that video is wacko. They're obviously very close due to the movement, but the depth of field is way too shallow.

The butterfly's name is Gary.
Maybe, but it is a female monarch (Danaus plexippus). Monarchs have slight sexual dimorphism. This one has the wider, darker black lines of a female and lacks the finer lines and hindwing scent pockets of a male.

This video was a winner in a contest held for the G'day USA event by Tourism Australia and Qantas. More adorable winners here, as well as more cute animal images from the Australia Instagram feed. You'll also see more from Symbio Wildlife Park and others on the Facebook page, where this featured early on.

Full disclosure: I work for Tourism Australia, but I'm posting the links because they are a. relevant and b. absolutely adorable.

They're pretty harmless, the real problem down under is their murderous horses.
