KRUMP: Kingdom Radically Uplifted Mighty Praise (Dance Style)

Urban Dance Legend! KRUMP is a style of dance I've been studying for about 2 years now, unfortunately, it seems a lot of people misunderstand what it actually is (probably because the "Step Up" movies made a joke out of it).

But it is very interesting, and I think its one of the most technical, exciting dance styles ever. I took a workshop with the creator of this style, and he is fascinating to watch. The thing that makes it different is that its more about telling a story, rather than doing something because it looks cool (for example, a lot of people are familiar with popping - the waving, body hits, isolations etc)... but it doesn't really have a point and can get old quick.

KRUMP on the other hand uses all those concepts, but takes it up a level. There are a lot of levels to the style. Power, isolations, footwork, "talking", character, build ups/"get off", bangs, and a whole lot more.
A lot of people just think its throwing arms around and stomping. But if you are a dancer, you are much more likely to appreciate the style.

check it out!
