A little too realistic to be funny, tbh.

You think they are going to ban Edison Carter?

I'll take a reality with say, 40% less dystopia, please.

As if CNN has a future in Trumptopia.

And you know what? Just regarding 'Hurt Feelings Are Dangerous' as something Spicer would say; this dude is babysitting the biggest crybaby in the world. Some of these altfact people are saying liberals are all big snowflakes that need to toughen up and get used to it. Their BOSS has a half-hour temper tantrum on twitter when Meryl Streep says she doesn't like him. He completely lost his shit when the cast of Hamilton asked his co-pilot to please please please work for ALL Americans. As if that's some insult? In his twitstorm he even put an exclamation point after the word 'apologize'.

APOLOGIZE!

You can't yell at someone to apologize you fucking baby.

Hurt feelings sure are dangerous when this oversensitive prick has the nuclear codes.

The "STOP BEING MEAN" and mushroom cloud on the monitors were a nice touch, if a bit on the nose.

The Onion News Network's report from the year 2137: "Bringing You What's Left of Your World"

Uploaded in 2013, but the syntax is disturbingly Trumpian.

The deciding factor.

I now wish parody accounts came with an identifying symbol. There were plenty of people replying to those tweets (who presumably saw them as retweets and aren't familiar with the account) who didn't realize they weren't real.

I had this thought yesterday that reason Trump's supporters are content to hand wave away our concerns that Trump is disassembling the republic as we know it and building a dictatorship is that they had the same concerns about Obama and those turned out to be unfounded.

The difference of course, is that while Obama never did come for your guns or install Sharia Law, Trump really is going after the Muslims and Mexicans, running roughshod over basic ethics guidelines, and probably going after unions, Medicare, and Social Security, too.

Our dystopian fears seem to be well-founded.

Needs more Casey Neistat on an electric skateboard talking into a camera about Casey Neistat.

This was just what I needed, thanks. I'm not sure if satire or parody is going to really succeed in bringing about political change, but I think it might be. And it sure is a lot easier to sustain than direct outrage. Like I feel the narrative has already moved on from the outrageous immigration ban despite things like this continuing to happen.

Well, MetaFilter scooped Boing Boing (it's the small victories that count). The @FutureCNN account has jumped by a 1000 followers overnight as well.

It is the air of atrocity,
An event as ordinary
As a President.

A plume of smoke, visible at a distance
In which people burn.
