One Hundred and One Things I would put into Room 101 -- Stu from Feeling Listless has compiled a list of all the things he would put into Room 101 (which contained 'the worst thing in the world' according to George Orwell). So what would you put in your own personal Room 101?

Interestingly the origins of Room 101 was at the BBC anyway. Room 101 was the room of a senior BBC program editor who often rejected/edited Orwell's work. Orwell to his (literary) revenge by making the editors room be an evil place. I always thought of myself as an Orwell fan but I didn't know that. Thanks for the link.

The French, until they stop pronouncing the dot in doman names as "point" (PWAH! PWAH!). Any governments worldwide that cut off funding to their shortwave radio stations. SoundScan. The entire programming department at ABC Entertainment if they don't renew "The Job."

To put all this in perspective, a few weeks ago I asked a close friend of mine about his Room 101 items (mine were spiders and the like), not thinking about the fact that he'd been widowed a year earlier. Of course his wife's death had always been his Room 101 item, even before she'd been diagnosed. He said the best thing about having had to "walk into and sit down in" his Room 101 was that there really wasn't anything left to be as afraid of anymore. He'd passed through the worst and lived. This was food for thought for me for some time.
