2 Hard 2 Keep

Each photo is a little mystery. An art project where people send in photos that they deemed too hard to keep. (SLVice, NSFW)

I should imagine that the possibility of using this for revenge porn is pretty high.

A word of caution to people, there is what appears to be a picture of a dead pet in these. Cat.

Curious. So the concept is that the photo evokes such a response that keeping it is a burden... yet the contrbutors have still kept those images (in some cases for years). I've taken a few painful photos (one of a dying family member causes me to flinch at the mere thought of it being taken at all) and those whose content could not be borne were discarded--burned, torn up, or erased. Keeping graphic evidence of pain and heartbreak, and then choosing to share it anonymously, suggests masochistic exhibitionism. But to each his own.

I'm also struggling with the rationale. I understand the desire to do away with painful photos – but to allow them to be essentially disseminated to the entire world?

This is making me really uncomfortable from a privacy perspective - I'm pretty sure most of these subjects didn't agree to be included

This is the case with probably 75% of the photos disseminated on the internet. What's different for you here?

A bad thing is happening over there, which makes this bad thing here a good thing actually.

Is that in response to my question, because if it is it seems like a particularly shitty one designed to make me feel bad for asking a question that you apparently think is off limits (although you haven't explained why). Do you have anything constructive to say that isn't just jerky? Do you have an answer to the question I asked? (N.B., I did, in fact, ask a question not make a comment.)
