This is out of balance, they have to show the dog getting a bath at some future time.

Well, at least they turn the water on here.

Hmmm... Maybe he was just thirsty and prefers the tub faucet? Water tastes different from different faucets in the same house.

Kitties insist on human interaction when their humans (bad humans!) are occupied with other things. Tis the rule for cat humans to be available when the kitty wants you. This TV or iPad nonsense is rude and leads to neglected kitties. Knitting or puzzles are much more satisfying hobbies for kitties to destroy .

However, if the human wants attention kitty should run away and hide somewhere inaccessible. It's not good to encourage your human's neediness. They are there to serve you.

What are you doing to cats to make you believe cats don't want human interaction?

Sigh. Beatrix T. Cattenborough also demands interaction. But instead of politely asking for pats, she likes to get attention by knocking things over.

Those cats clearly got an A+ in kitten school. They're doing excellent catting. As kitten magic attests, humans are there to please their cats, not the other way around.

I'm curious about the non-whining dog in the dog video. I just want one reaction shot -- are they upset that this is delaying the walk? Are they rolling their eyes and sighing at this constant occurrence? Do they, too, want the delicious faucet water to turn on and therefore are thankful for their whinier companion?

My cats have figured out a way to lay across my arms such that they feel included but I can continue to use my mouse and keyboard.

The only downside is that 10lbs of cat tends to make my hands go numb.

My cat, (one Beatrix Kitters, so good job on the naming slkinsey), is the master of just taking her paw and lowering the phone or tablet, then inserting herself in that space. She is also good at figuring out how to be cradled in my arms at any second.

People who have never owned cats don't realize just how much cat ass owners see every day. Every cat owner has had a cat anus pressed to their face and recoiled in horror at least once.

Ah, yes, my moment for this was in the middle of the night last night. One of the cats decided he wanted attention at 2:30am. When I was slow to respond (I'm not a light sleeper), he kept moving around, pushing at me. Finally I woke up and the first thing I saw was cat butt.

I love my cats.

Heh. That is the noise my Boxer/GSD/Husky mix makes when he DOES get a bath. His little sister, an APBT, just whipped around and glared at him when I played the video.

OK, the kitty who wanted to hold its human's hand at ~2:40 melted me.

When I was a 13, my aunt "hired" a 10-week-old kitten who really took to me (Jolie was meant to be a mouser, and she actually did a terrific job!). She was a real snuggler and seemed to enjoy my belly rubs. Couldn't take her to uni when it was time to go, and the summer after my freshman year, I returned to discover to my horror that I was suddenly allergic to cats! :(

I miss her, and am upset that I am still allergic enough that having a kitty friend is not workable.

I thought for certain the dog video would be this one of a golden retriever puppy giving himself a bath.

I wonder if the husky in the bath is also partially just appreciative of the acoustics the tub provides. REVERB!

When my cat wants to play, he brings his toys over to me drops it at my feet and meows. It is especially funny when he hauls his toy that is attached to a stick and a string up or down the stairs to find me.... thunk thunk thunk. He is not shy about asking for attention.

Got a weird 'staged' feel for their useage of a maladapted pet/companion animal behaviour - especially the end result of the "turn on the tap" (separate, but linked-to from the first) video.
