I'm pretty sure this is a spoof, and a tie-in to the X-Men movie, at least it's linked from there (go to "the experience" and sit through the Flash movie).

yeah, that's why i titled the link "advertising." They're running ads here (SoCal) all the time for this Senator Kelly. If you're a little media-savvy you notice that it's paid for by the "Stop the X-Men Campaign" I'm curious to see if this works (my initial thought was that it was too transparent) but based on the responses here and by checking out the site I think it may help the film build momentum...

The site's been around a few months. I had a feeling it was an X-Men tie-in of some sort, but I didn't do any checking to see if it was fan-produced or studio-produced. Wonder if the movie's going to be any good. I haven't read the comic for years (at least 10...did it get any better?)

IMO, it's only transparent as advertising for the X-Men movie if you're already familiar w/ the X-Men... I believe most people would find it puzzling and/or think it's satire of right-wing bigotry.

wiremommy-- yes, and people who follow marketing and films, the X-Men project has been on the table for years, and little tid-bits about the film (and its summer release) have been floating around for a while.

What I thought was interesting was the links section. It seems to contain links to creationist web sites, real ones I think, although I'm not sure. At the top of this page mutantwatch.com is mentioned. So are these creationist web sites legitimate or part of the whole joke?
