Should they stay or should they go now?
Should they stay or should they go now?
If they go there will be trouble
And if they stay it will be double.
So come on and let them know
Should they stay or should they go?

Now lets see:

Going = Trouble
Staying = Double

if we assume that:
Trouble = Double / 2

so:
Staying = 2 x Trouble

It is obvious that they should go, as this will lead to exactly half as much trouble as staying.

The first half of that midi was surprising unlame for a midi. Then the fast part starts and it sounds like Joe Strummer invited his grandpa up on stage to show the kids how they would have played it on the banjo in the old-timey style, and then the Human League joins in with a synthesizer and you have to stop listening.

No is currently winning by a landslide. The question remains though, are they going to do whatever the poll says or are they just looking for advice?

They should definitely go. I bet the beaches are lovely and the prices are quite good. And, while they're there, they should loudly denounce the imperialist American pig-dog murderers and the satanic Ronald Reagan. That would probably get them half-off at the local Ramadan.

I would love to go to Libya, but NOT RIGHT NOW. Maybe in 10-15 years. Libya is said to be one of the most beautiful and lush countries on the North African coast. My great hope for the Middle East is that they will one day realize that tourism is a good thing.

Since the couple appear to be Italian, it probably isn't an issue for them. Were they American, I would have a different answer.

I think if they go (whether they are American or not), and do not act like the typical traveling ugly American, (ohgod - here come the flames) they will be fine. Sure Libya has a decent size Muslim population but it is by far the largest. For the most part, Muslims and Islamic supporters are NOT anti-American. This is a horrible misconception and hopefully cleared up here. My favorite part of the article is this:

"Most people in the world had more than one response to what happened to the US last Tuesday. I think it is safe to say that apart from three or four Palestinians, everyone is sad to see so many of their fellow humans killed in such horrendous circumstances. That goes for most Muslims and the great majority of those who might have been quite pleased to see the US get a different kind of comeuppance. For this second group, in which I include myself, the unqualified sympathy extended to the victims is underpinned by a feeling that few have dared even to whisper. My next-door neighbour said it, and so did a rogue Palestinian whose views have not yet been censored in the name of "taste". They are better placed than I am, as a broadsheet commentator, to admit to a part of them that thinks that the US might benefit from an insight into what it feels like to be knocked to your knees by a faceless power deaf to everything but the logic of its own crazed agenda."

Tunisia is probably a better option at this stage in the game, although I have heard the beaches in Libya are nicer.
