"Then I found tricking."

Tricking is a training discipline that combines martial arts, gymnastics and breakdancing. Ingun Yoo, a.k.a. Kick Gun, is a master of the taekwondo form [music and voiceover] whereas Michael Guthrie and Jacob Pinto go for the flash [driving music and cheering]. Tricking previously. BONUS: how to clear some room for yourself in a crowd [whooshing and cheering].

It's like watching a parkour video with the obstacles photoshopped out.

Is it effective against mimes?

Well now we know what Channing Tatum is doing next year.

Seriously though I love this shit. If I ever win the lottery I'll spend half the day playing in a gym like this and falling on my ass.

I am glad that these people are enjoying themselves. Seriously! I hope they don't hurt themselves permanently pursuing these activities. I hope it serves as a gateway to better, more sustainable physical activity that keeps them healthy.

This looks a bit like the paleo diet of gymnastics; manly physical activity with lots of kicking for men, definitely not that girly gymnastics for girly people in girly clothes.

I enjoyed watching, thanks!

I tend to think you're right. Women can do this kind of thing and be amazing at it, sure, but I don't think they get to call it anything nearly as extreem and brodified as "tricking".

I was a gymnast. Competed at nationals, had a shot at Olympics. Just putting that out there to say, the shot they are doing is ridiculously hard from a standing, non kinetic position. Some of their layouts are astonishing, from an at rest position. Yes, it looks pretty brotastic, but I'm still gonna go show them to my teenage son to maybe nudge him back to the dojo.

The national spirit of courage, endurance, and tradition.

Uh. Don't anyone tell them. I think their feelings might get hurt.

China's been doing this sort of thing since long before YouTube. Many of the moves come from wushu:

No bro culture needed! There's actually pretty even male and female representation!

Capoeira is another gymnastic martial art that has plenty of female participation and has had moves pilfered by the trickers.
