My little dog—a heartbeat at my feet

When Brazilian illustrator Rafael Mantesso divorced with his ex-wife, she took all of the furniture with her, leaving behind an empty house with white walls. All he had was Jimmy Choo, his bull terrier. Mantesso started painting and drawing again, which is when his buddy Jimmy lent him a paw by posing for some silly illustrations.

That's an English Bull Terrier, because my neighbour of many years ago was breeding them, and are the dog breed I'd most want to own. They are smart to the point of intelligent, and almost invulnerable. And they know who their friends and enemies are.
These pics make me a little sad for old times.

God, I love bull terriers. They're the only dogs I've ever had and the only kind I could ever imagine having. So noble and silly and stubborn and brave and lazy and ugly and energetic and cowardly and handsome.
