There is no way I can not an article entitled "A beaver herds 150 cattle on a ranch in Saskatchewan."

Cows are lovely, endearing, stupid, stupid animals.

I love this! What a great story.

"They're a curious bunch," [rancher Adrienne Ivey] said. "They're kind of like teenagers. And I think they were following this thing around because they couldn't figure out what the heck it was."

Of course this needs to be followed with the caveat posed in the following classic CBC interview: The Great Beaver Attack!

To be fair, I would also be happily herded by a beaver.

Also, would you say that beaver was . . . Busy?

I figure the beaver said he was making a Timmies run and did anyone else want anything?

That beaver seemed to be somewhat conflicted by the whole experience, occasionally looking over his shoulder as if to say 'you still there? you...want something?' Either that or he was leading them on a break out, and one day the ranchers will turn up to find cows and beavers gone, vanished into the mysterious ether of Canada.

Is there a non fb login way to see it? It sounds adorable, but being a secret agent, I clearly can't be on facebook.

I read this as the cows being rather smart and inquisitive.

I'm not logged in to Facebook and I can see it, SecretAgentSockpuppet...for me it just goes to a page on the CBC website. I was able to play the video embedded on the CBC page.

Cows are lovely, endearing, stupid, stupid animals.
I once worked on a dairy farm. The cows were fed in the milking station using individual feeders: you pulled on a string and the feeder delivered the exact, scientifically calculated, amount of pellets for each cow. One day a cow figured out that if she pulled on the string herself (using her mouth), the feeder turned into an all-you-can-eat buffet*, and soon enough several cows picked up the trick. Cows are smart as well as curious and inquisitive.
*These cows spent their day grazing, the pellets (actually a protein+mineral supplement bound with molasses) were like dessert to them

Not me. If I click on it to play, it goes to fb, and says I need to login. Not that important, though.
