I'd opened this post before dinner, and just now (an hour later) picked up my phone and opened it up again, immediately after my husband had done something truly shitty and hurtful and I was sitting here feeling like there was a tight, shrivelled ball of pain in my chest just waiting to twist tight and cut me in half.

And then I looked at these and it, quite sincerely, was exactly what I needed in this precise moment. Thank you for your gentle, lovely animal posts Johnny Wallflower, this one arrived at just the right time.
