Farstar International is probably one of the best examples of bad Wed design ever, but obviously that's not the guy's bag. Apparently his bag is collecting really awesome pictures of galaxies and stars and other such spacey things. The shots aren't big enough for wallpapering, but might be neat source material for designy people. (The link isn't showing up in the preview, but here it is: http://www.cliffr.com/galaxies/banner.htm)

Well that was weird. I dunno if MF munged that or I did. I previewed something else as a test, and it worked. Oh wellio. Just imagine the post says "Farstar International" at the beginning.

It's the worst wed design I think I've ever seen :)

What's with the "3d images" he has? He has pictures of himself with two magnifying glasses in front of his computer screen. It's like some weird Viewmaster deal.

No, this is the worst design you've ever seen. I don't get the 3d thing at all -- they are exactly the same image repeated twice. No 3d effect at all.

Thanks for the link sylloge.. That page crashed my browser. Haha.. talk about bad web design. =P

The 3d thing is kinda cool, although I didn't read enough about it to know if his proposed theory is true. Basically, they work like those old Magic Eye posters... you have to relax your eyes, let them go a bit crosseyed, and let the two side-by-side images overlap in your view. The resulting overlapped image appears three dimensional.

Pretty cool if you can do it, but I got a headache after a while.

Dammit. I have a lazy left eye, so when I try to do the Magic Eye 3D thing, one image comes in at about a 15 degree angle to the next, which makes it impossible to see this effect.

I can do the thing where I pull my index fingers apart and make a hot dog, though.

I totally freaked the hell out of a little kid with that trick once.

I love the 3d theories. Favourite quote: Photons hold the key, as lepton particles.

Um. But photons *aren't* leptons. And 2d images don't store phase information, that's why they're photos not holograms. Pseudoscience makes me laugh.
