Puffy May Join Ozzy on MTV Maybe they will just take the best parts of other shows and stick Puffy in the middle of it.

Puffy, Piddy, Diddy, defendant, whatever. I'm sure you can't wait to see him at the club, in the studio ripping off hooks, at the tailor, drinkin' high-dollar swill in the limo...etc...

"I'm quite sure there will be a lot of bleeps in it because it will be raw and uncensored," Combs said.

Uhh...if it were raw and uncensored, wouldn't it not have bleeps in it?

one of the beautiful layers of "the Osbournes" is that Ozzy is a loveable guy who has made some of the best rock music over a long period of time and MTV can use clips of those classic tunes to fit the story line.

not only is puffy's musical catalogue a joke, but he's not likeable.

if they wanted to follow someone in the music industry around who is notorious and unlikeable, they should pick Suge Knight whose lifestyle would make "Oz" look like a Disney feature.

meanwhile, I say MTV should follow Snoop Dogg, who has a much better fashion line, a new car being created by Cadillac, far better musical cred, and is the pimp daddy that puff daddy dreams of being.

Snoop Dogg would be a much better choice. The Osbornes idea came from an episode of them on MTV Cribs. Snoop was also featured on that show, and was pretty funny, showing a human side of how he interacts with his family within their lifestyle.

For the same reasons I like seeing that Ozzy is a real person with everyday problems, I'd love to see Snoop in a similar setting.

Puffy in that setting? No thanks, I couldn't imagine it coming out any other way besides fake and contrived.

Screw puffy and snoop. Did you see Redman's Cribs? Now that's entertainment! Give the man a show!

Puffy's taking someone else's idea and making it less cool? You don't say!

isn't that no-talent assclowns 15 minutes up YET?!? part of what makes the Osbournes great is that they are, albeit dysfunctional, a real family. PDiddley is nothing but fake with his blingbling crap.

I just don't understand why everybody likes to talk smack about Burning Man.

he will probably borrow someone else's family that he will mold into a mass marketed family unit...why not, he did it with everything else.

Time to player hate on Puffy...

What a fake washed up loser with no talent, an awful label, and some kind of annoying superiority complex. Here's a couple of his most major offenses:

From the street? Not likely. Raised in Mount Vernon, NY, suburbs. Went to Howard University, then off to internship with Uptown Records. Sounds like he didnt work a day in his life. Then people (read: everyone) start questioning his "hood" credibility and what does he do? He convinces a record exec to let his bodyguard break his arm and tells his no-talent "protege" Shyne to brandish a gun in a club. Epilogue: Shyne 10-20 years, Puffy 0.

Musical Talent? Hah. If you call "Yeah, uh, word, yeah biggie, word" music. It's hard to believe someone who spent most of his "musical career" repeating lines in the background of Biggie's songs actually thinks he has skill. His top album, No Way Out had at most 20% of his input, probably none of which he wrote himself. But it still gave him the hubris to make his first original production, Forever, which not only sucked but went "fake platinum" (sold under a million but sent millions of copies to stores, which had to be destroyed). What a waste of plastic. His rebuttal? "I don't write rhymes, I write checks." Which brings us to our next category...

Bad Boy. Man whatever happened to Ma$e? Well he went off to become a minister, probably the best move of his career (although I liked some of his stuff). How about the Lox? Got out of their contract as quickly as possible, immediately hopped over to Ruff Ryders, and started putting out much better quality music. Black Rob? He's out of the rap game like Whoa. Shyne's cookin in jail, probably watching his ass too much to write new crappy rhymes. Thank you Johnny Cochran. And Dream's making a good living opening up for O-Town on a good day.

Dream is probably Puffy's biggest success ever, and he owes it all to MTV. Which leads me to ask the question: Why does that channel give him any legitimacy at all? Do they own a piece of his company or something?

Whatever the case, The Combses might turn out to be MTV's worst show ever, right under Becoming, Spyder Games, and Say What? Karaoke. I can just see it now: Puffy taking out another loan from Arista to open a bottle of Dom, then rolling up to his crib in the Hamptons to chill with his butler Fonzworth Bentley, finally retiring to his bedroom where he makes his nightly call begging J. Lo to take him back.

Okay I'm done. Let's just hope this show doesn't displace The Osbournes.

And bring back Sifl and Olly!
