Mom turns her breastfeeding journey into dreamy drawings. "One of the hardest assignments I received as a new mom was to keep my baby alive with my boobs.."

I usually can't deal with 'breastfeeding art' when it's too earth goddess-y... but these are really cute.

I don't know if any art can communicate to people who've never nursed a baby how centering and delightful and sweet it can be, but this can if anything!

I LOVE her double-pumping drawing. I'd buy this for every nursing room in every corporation in America, just to make women laugh/wince. So, so true.

I love these! Relatedly, Fawn Veerasunthorn is an artist at Disney who's nursing a kiddo right now, and posts great drawings. This one's my favorite.

Cute! But um actually not very much like my own breastfeeding experience (except for the undignified pumping lol). But super adorable and making me wish I had gotten more out of the experience.

Very sweet pictures. It seems much like my daughter in law's experience, she had several infections, had to go to back to work after 5 months so did a lot of pumping. Mine many years ago was very different, I nursed three kids for at least two years each, never had a real problem (one minor infection that cleared right up with antibiotics) and was fortunate not to have to work so no pumping.

I went into breastfeeding knowing nothing, decided in the delivery room in 1970 when the nurse said "breast or bottle?" and I said "breast. It was easy for me, and cheap, and I feared I would screw up preparing bottles and formula. Maybe ignorance was bliss, because I really did not have problems nursing any of my kids.

Me neither, and I feel so fortunate, I had a baby in a season of many babies born in my circle, and I'm the last still nursing, now at 25 months. I have had to pump while driving on the freeway, but that was the worst of my travails. It's been one of the luckiest and loveliest experiences. I could just about become a BCLC just because I wish more women had the chance to have it work the way it has for me. But it seems like it's just not possible for everyone. Different strokes for different folks.
