After that, everyone can enjoy this video of a baby elephant demonstrating the proper technique for getting into a bath tub.

Here is a longer video demonstrating the natural grace of the baby elephant.

Seriously disappointed in the fact I was promised base-jumping, and not a single duckling tried hotdogging it AT ALL!

We occasionally get to see similar duck-related antics along the Erie Canal (complete with peeps).

Love how most of them took turns jumping one by one.

Do elephants feel embarrassed? I felt secondhand embarrassment for the poor baby.

I used to work in an office park with a bunch of water features, and I loved when we'd get ducklings. Then they'd leave and I'd be sad.

From the Related or more like or whatever, Ducklings Jump from Nest 50 Feet in the Air. Alert: puffs of down in slo-mo. Squee!

Coming soon to a theater near you: Ducks In A Drain, starring Samuel L. Jackson

"Get these mother-loving ducklings out of this mother-freaking drain!"

I was prepared to be all judgey over the vertical camera use, but was overcome by the cuteness. They even took turns!

Every year, Boston has a "duckling day" in the public garden on Mother's Day, but it's CANCELLED THIS YEAR BECAUSE OF STUPID WEATHER

I'm so bummed. I love the Make Way for Ducklings statue and seeing all the little kids dressed as ducks. oh well.

"Quack! Quack! Quack! Quack!" went Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Oack, Pack, and Quack, just as loud as their little quackers could quack.

To me the elephant one read not so much as a lack of grace about how to enter a tub, but rather a lack of grace as to how lay down and submerse oneself in the tub. She looked like she was having fun.

The ducks though - not only did they jump one by one, but then they skedaddled out of the way before the next one jumped.

This thread reminds me of an old joke:

Q: How do you get down off an elephant?

A: You don't. You get down off a duck.

When I saw this on Facebook, I didn't know how they would get down, and I actually chortled out loud when the first one jumped.

I grinned so hard at that I nearly split my face in half.

I for one look forward to the day when ducks take over from cats and dogs as the internet's preeminent avatar of cuteness. They are the best at cute, this video is proof.

Please enjoy these yellow kittens.

I love how they make a full 5 minute story about this (and the story is being continued while the video cuts off!). Only in Ireland. Can we have news like this here? I would buy a cable package if this was the news we had.

Make Way for Ducklings

The Glover Elementary School in Milton, Massachusetts has a special tradition of providing sanctuary to nesting ducks inside the school's interior courtyard. Each time ducklings hatch the entire school helps guide them safely to a neighboring pond.

I'm just going to be a Debbie Downer here...but the baby elephant video makes me sad. You can see the adult (mother?) wants to be next to the baby, but her front left leg is chained. She is straining against it with her leg in the air in the beginning of the video.
