Great read!

Not going to be a happy day for the media relations folk at Campbell University. This was brutal:
The only thing I owe to this school," he says, "is the boredom that caused me to start the account in the first place."

Have you been to Campbell? It's the ONLY thing in Buies Creek, NC other than a few gas stations and a couple of Mom&Pop's type places. And, of course, the churches.

Not known for being terribly creative, the school's mascot is the camel......Yes. The Campbell Camels. Matt should take on rebranding the school next.

My Dad's family was from there. He was the only one in his family to go to college; he walked across several farm fields to get to school. It's grown enormously since those days (after the Korean 'conflict') and I've not been back through there since the last of the family died out.

Oh, and it's a University now....

My mom went to Campbell! It's where she enrolled after she flunked out of a school where they allowed people to socialize. My grandfather who was worried about me going to school with Yankees (with "their drinking and their pills and their weird sex games*") wanted me to go there.

It's a nice place to stop for an orangeade though.

Gotta give props to Matt for keeping politics in his tweets.

I feel like this is some sort of object lesson about not choosing your college based solely on whether they have a good program in your highly-specific major. Although part of me wonders if he was looking for not-a-party-school and didn't quite register that there's a middle ground between Animal House and the kind of institution that requires chapel twice a week.

Anyway, I love We Rate Dogs so much, and I'm really enjoying the emergence of semi-weird Twitter, which is like weird Twitter for people who are actually pretty mainstream.

Or, as he said when someone accused him of being politically biased, caring about people because they are people shouldn't be political :)

Am now imagining some kind of field of esoteric Golf Theory, like for elevators in "The Intuitionist"

It's a constant source of joy in our house. I'm a heretic who embraces syncretism in the feud with @everythingoats, which makes my wife crazy (another source of joy for me, at least).

We can only hope he will have dogs on his golf course.

If I'd known it would end up like this you'd be 0 for 3.

My cousin studied it - it's actually a pretty fascinating career! There are a lot of options for that major (these are just a few).

I love WeRateDogs, of course. I especially love that you get occasional pupdates from previously rated dogs, like when Miguel got adopted!

A curious trend with the We Rate Dogs account is the number of people (myself included) who thought we were already following the account because it got retweeted into our timeline so much and were somewhat surprised to learn we'd never actually clicked follow.

"Sleepovers and field trips" and I'm a big happy puddle right now.

Also note that there's a WeRateDogs Snapchat. It's pretty good. One time there were a whole bunch of puppies. That was fun. 13/10 for a good time.
