With little editing, the audio from the Blade Runner 2049 trailer overlaid onto the new Google Assistant ad. (subtitles, video on Gizmodo, previously)

I was laughing at the start of this video. By the end I was not laughing and considering hiding in the basement with five years supply of food and absolutely no Internet.

At this point, I wonder if anyone on marketing on the past decade ever did a DSotM - Wizard of Oz synchronization thing with something popular on purpose with the goal of becoming viral once someone "accidentally" did it.

Hey Google – When I hug my knees and start rocking, should it be forward-backward or side-to-side?

this is the first time I've seen any of that, and "turning off ALL the things" got a chuckle out of me.

my Echo Dot seems so wasted against all these ads. I only ever ask it to play music, check the weather, and tell me jokes.

What did the scarf say to the hat?

You go on ahead, I'll hang out here.

Is there a link to this video outside of Twitter, which is a horrible platform for video hosting?

Sadly, my first thought when I saw this was "ooh, I bet those synth sounds were made with the new Roland Jupiter 80, I wish I could afford one..." I have swallowed the capitalism pill. My soul is in jeopardy.

Vangelis sounds are Oberheim all the way. Try the OP-X plugin, it is amazing!

The Gizmodo link does not appear to actually have the video. Just a link to the Tweet with the video.

The sequel's scored by Jóhann Jóhannsson, but definitely with great respect for the original. It's gonna be fucking nuts. I finally know how all those aspiring movie composer Zimmerheads feel.

And if there's a Blade Runner synth, it's definitely the Yamaha CS-80.
