"Mr Biggles does not like to be thwarted."

Mr Biggles (aka Lord Bigglesworth) is an utter bastard of a cat. Nevertheless, Cat People Of Melbourne (FB) would like you to adopt him, and offers this interview to pique your interest. [h/t Miss Cellania]

Still figuring out how to move to Australia, hope he has not already been nabbed.

Black cats are best cats. It is known.

That said, my late and lamented lovely had far more bastarditude than Lord Bigglesworth here. Proof. Evil eye.

That is a good kitty.

It's almost as if they were describing my sister's cat Lily, a.k.a. "Bitey Whitey". Any more than two pets and she'll slash you. Doesn't sit on laps, doesn't cuddle, has a meow that sounds like a piglet squealing, hasn't been clean enough to be properly called "white" in years. Has a habit of coming home smudged with printer's ink with bits of duct tape on her whiskers. Or not coming home at all because she's stuck in an abandoned house until someone figures out where she is. My sister had to take up breaking and entering in order to keep rescuing that darn cat...

Hmmm.... as a cat fan, and a Biggles fan, and a Melbournian, I shall not be following these links. I don't think Biggles and Scruff would get along.

Oh, maybe just one.

OK, two...

The video is the best. "Are you aware you've gone viral? How does that make you feel?"

He looks like he's fencing Basil Rathbone with his tail!

Brothers in bastardy with my dear, departed Mr. Whiskers.

Years later, I still have a tiny lump of scar tissue in the webbing between my right thumb and forefinger from a chance encounter with Mr. W.'s teeth. I call it The Mark of the Were-Whiskers..

I heard about Mr. Biggles, and read their description of what makes him a "bastard" - and honestly, he just sounds like a cat. (I say this after having spent 16 years with Zach, too.) Cats are independent little putzes, didn't they know that?

My friend's response to Lord Bigglesworth was that he sounded perfect for their household, and the only reason they weren't heading down to adopt him right now was that they're in the US.

Prismatic, did your late lamented lovely learn the evil eye from you, or vice versa? Looks like your grasp of side-eye techniques was almost as good as hers. ;)

This video is even better, with super juicy quotes at the end, like mentioning that so far no human slaves have offered themselves up yet, and people like to win over jerks, especially cute fluffy ones....

Seriously wondering who would be the right owner for this cat. I bet foster parent Brett is just desperate to find out.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for using and spelling the word "pique" correctly.

Ginger (who I suspect is the bastard son of Pink Cat) is our Mr Biggles. He decided to get himself domesticated just a little too late so he's, like, 60 per cent domestic, 30 per cent stray and 10 per cent feral. You just can't predict what he's going to do from one minute to the next. Aww look he's curled up with one of the ki...ok, now he's suddenly trying to murder one of the other cats...now he's ripping the wood trim off the wall next to the front door...

My eldest son loves him which is the only thing that's saved him from a sleepy-time needle.

Even with my opposable-thumb advantage, Mr Biggles has a far better developed online presence than I do. Sobs

I have to admit, in these few short days I've developed quite an internet crush on Mr. Biggles. If I lived in Melbourne instead of New York, and didn't already have two male cats in a state of tenuous detente, I'd probably be stitching ”UTTER BASTARD” into a cat pillow as we speak.

So the cat has very firm boundaries, ohnoes evil. *rolls eyes*

I'm actually in the right city for this cat. But the one time I tried to adopt a cat (from a Mefite!!!) I got severe allergies to it and had to return the cat. I was so heartbroken.
