Check out the finalists, they are all excellent. posted by fil! at 1:22 AM on May 14, 2000
It's a pretty neat photo, fitting the "million-dollar moment" theme. Keep in mind this isn't a professional organization, it's a portal site making a name for itself. posted by dhartung at 11:24 AM on May 14, 2000
Damn... they all look so professional.

Yes, the picture is amazing. (Or at least I love it.) posted by delfuego at 2:10 PM on May 14, 2000
I dunno; the dog and sneakers one looks posed to *me*... posted by baylink at 2:14 PM on May 14, 2000
What's wrong with posed? It's not about photojournalism, it's about *photography*. posted by dhartung at 4:58 PM on May 14, 2000
I read that last word as "pornography" and suddenly had an entirely different take on the "dog and sneakers" picture.
i'm fond of it... i prefer 'photojournalism' over 'posed' - at least for a 'million dollar moment'. It's much harder to catch a million dollar moment outside of a studio. If only I were so lucky as to be standing there at a moment like that. posted by cadence at 5:39 AM on May 16, 2000
