Purrli, the online cat-purr generator.

Meet Purrli. Previously seen on the blue, the new Internet Cat has much more customization. From the creator of MyNoise. Now you can get all the benefits of a purring cat, without the drawbacks... until he adds a 'hacking up a hairball' slider, at any rate.

It certainly convinced my feline friend Ozias Midwinter, who was staring, somewhat puzzled, at the screen, wondering where the other cat was. Passes cat test, at any rate.

Oh, good. This works on Firefox mobile. Guess whose bike is going to be randomly purring and meowing outside of a local pub tonight via the magic of a hidden bluetooth speaker?

And, heh, I just pranked myself. Apparently it works in Firefox mobile even with the screen locked. I didn't realize it was still running until my phone started randomly meowing.

This sounds and feels so real!! Three minutes of this and six months of stress just melted away. AAAAA+++ would purr with again.

MyNoise is one of my favorite internet things and the creator's interview is worth a read. Cat purr generator though? Genius.

This is great! Much more effective than those meditation apps, I say.

Purrli? Oh...oh. Say no more, say no more. SAY NO MORE - Purrli, say no more. Purrli, eh? Know what I mean, know what I mean? Say no more.

I´m still slightly disappointed that they're cheating with samples, rather than parametrically modelling a cat's voice box in JavaScript.

This is the first time Bootsy Collins has paid attention to something my computer has done. Woke up, stared up at it for two minutes, went back to sleep. I wonder if it seems white-noise-generator-relaxing to him? Maybe I'll give it a shot during our next thunderstorm.
