Lance Bass to be launched into space. Joining a growing a list of millionaires, Nsync pop tart Lance Bass is going to train for a space mission, while television cameras follow him around. It's 1986 all over again.

He probably wants to come back... too bad. (Ba-dum) But seriously, I remember this story from months ago. But it's odd -- the story seems recent (mentiones The Osbournes and is dated yesterday) but makes no mention of how the agency denied that rumor months ago. Hell, it's only Rolling Stone. Maybe I'm expecting too much.

I think Dredzn was referring to Christa McAuliffe.

Dear Russia,

Please leave put Lance in a space probe destined for a distant planet. Pluto, perhaps. You will be providing earth a great service.

Thank you,

Chris

o2b -- the 1986 thing is a faulty metaphor. FPP refers to the Challenger/ Christy MacAuliff situation. Cameras followed the school-teacher as she prepared for her ascent... then, well, everyone knows what happened. But a pop star is far from a teacher -- more like that last millionaire who took a Russian ticket into zero-gravity.

The teacher who was the back up on the Teacher in Space program is now training for her trip into space.

I can't remember her name, but, she was on the news here, recently.
