Due to reported issues with an outside vendor, the longstanding urban myth/fake news debunker is in financial trouble.

Last December, the website, created in 1994, teamed up with Facebook to help evaluate the truthiness of stories flagged as fake news, and also came under the spotlight for its own transparency (or lack thereof).
