I'd never heard of the Baghdadi Jewish community in India before.
It was very significant in its day, and I understand there are still places named after the famous Sassoon family. It originated with Jewish traders that relocated from Baghdad during the Mameluk persecutions of the mid 1600s (IIRC) and then became one of several centers of Baghdadi Jews that maintained ties with each other in their diaspora. Another relic of Indian/Baghdadi Jewry is Amba, a salty-sour sauce made from pickled mangos that's very popular in Israel and, weirdly, Saudi Arabia. It's clearly based on Indian chutneys, and I 'm told the name actually comes from Sanskrit.

If it's written in the Hebrew alphabet, would it be just as accurate to call it Judaeo-Hindi as Judaeo-Urdu?

No, Hindi and Urdu are largely mutually intelligible but not identical, especially in their literary forms. There are considerable differences in vocabulary, for example.
