Everything's Coming Up Rosies

On March 29, 2014, 778 people dressed as Rosie the Riveter, at the Yankee Air Museum at Willow Run Airport, Ypsilanti, Michigan, to set the Guinness World Record for "The Largest Gathering of People Dressed as a Rosie the Riveter”.

On August 15, 2015, a new record was set by the World War II Home Front National Historical Park in Richmond, California, with 1,084 Rosies.

The Yankee Air Museum reclaimed the record on Oct. 24, 2015, with 2090 Rosies.

And on August 13 2016, the World War II Home Front National Historical Park took the record back, with 2,229 Rosies.
They're hoping to expand that number on August 12 of this year.

While the Yankee Air Museum hopes to win it back on October 14.

I'm going on Saturday! I picked up a couple of yards of red polka dot fabric over the weekend and plan to bring extra headbands. My sister and husband are dressing up too!

I kind of wish they were all eating sandwiches and trampling copies of Mein Kampf, but that would probably drive up sales of the latter, which is no good.
