I now want to see James May putting it back together .

Ha the cart picks up a set of socket wrenches, this will be easy peasy, then just before it gets away from the bench the reality of a heavy hammer jumps on-board.

(working on a car is easy, the third or fourth time for a particular proceedure, I just changed a fan belt, youtube videos are great, if you find an exact model, sigh, was about to give up when I pushed a wrench an unexpected direction and found the spring loaded cog, then simple, well when I reordered another approved belt that actually fit)

Hello to fellow Miata owners who got all excited when they saw the water pump and timing belt come off.

"11 Months, 3000 pictures and a lot of coffee" is a far more engaging video IMHO.

How is this only 20$ for the whole thing? I also wrote in with an correction and a request for more knolling of parts as well.

That reminds me, my truck is about due for a new timing belt.

That video makes it look so easy!

It's always easier if you don't plan on putting it back together again.

The makers of this video posted it to HackerNews and hung around in the comments.

More fun: time lapse of it being put back together, ending with the "completed" rebuild plus the inevitable small pile of "leftover" nuts, bolts, split-rings, shims, etc, that will forever leave you wondering.

Imagined "Sledgehammer" banging away in my head while watching this.

The tool. Not the song.

I prefer the time-lapse videos done by Hagerty.

Numerous V8 engine block rebuilds, plus a Ford Thunderbird automatic transmission and the even longer explanation of all the parts.
