What's wrong with this picture? -- A real intriguing exercise in assumptions. Take a careful look at the image on this page. It may take a while, but once you "see it," ... well, let's just say you'll see it.

Oh My. That scared the hell out of me. Really. I about had a heart attack.

Kudos for a great link. That was awesome.

Oh stop it, this is getting old.

And even if its wasn't old, is it worth posting?

*Stares at image, saying "huh"?*

*A few moments later, screams loudly, scaring the cats*

I didn't get it the first two times, and I still don't. Thick, I guess.

Wow! That creepy, ghostlike apparition of the lady streaming out of the door way in the back was awesome!

Oh wait ... that was the other one.

You must admit though, excellent setup. If that had been the setup the first time I saw one of these I would have fallen for it, rather than getting bored and closing the window.

Thanks quonsar, that "Observationally Impaired Edition" is gonna help a few people around who kept scratching their heads.

The first thing I do on these kinds of pictures os check if they're gifs or jpegs. If it's a gif, you can expect some creepy animation dealie. You can trust a jpeg.

This one was flash, meaning I was ready for the pic and for the sound...

Just something to do while you're waiting for them to scare you.

We need to ask the bigger question, what is it about this site that make us want to post it and pass it on? Is it the same reason we stop and look at car wrecks and "Faces of Death" movies?

That page scared the bejesus out of me the first time Zeldman posted it on his site. I nearly fell out of the chair. I'll get you, Zeldman!
