TiPaintis for Apple G4 Powerbook owners like me who have blemishes on thier baby's sleek exteriors. I dunno that the fact this product exsits is good or sad, but I know I just bought some and can't wait for it to show up. At least it's not terribly expensive.

As long as the iBook keeps functioning normally and none of those nasty chips work their way into anything vital, I wouldn't give a hoot if the exterior looked as if it had leprosy.

And I have the Ford pickup truck to prove it.

I like to paint on my computers, but not touch up paint. I favor acrylic & markers, cut up newpaper, and scratches with an exacto knife.

It gives you that "mad max" computing feel. (Ooh, maybe I should get some black shoulder pads and a pony tail for my G4 :)

Is this something to consider? : Apple's One Year Limited Warranty states the warranty does not apply "(c) to a product or a part that has been modified without the written permission of Apple."

Yet TiPaint's site (among others) states the chipping is a design flaw.

I have a friend who knowingly voided his warranty by placing a colored gel into the top of his iBook; are Powerbook users unknowingly voiding their warranty by performing touch-ups?

(or maybe I just don't know what the hell I'm talking about)
