Finally, someone (Mel Brooks) points out what all guests must think about being on the One Show.

Buzzfeed gives us 17 more WTF moments.

Note this is not the interview where Mel Brooks indulges in the aging comedian's pastime: complaining about political correctness.

Anyway, it's good to know that Mel Brooks can still be correct about some things.

Maybe a smidge more context on The One Show if you post about it again? Some of us are those damn rebellious colonists and had to spend more time finding out what the hell it was than we did watching the clip. (When I saw the post, I assumed it was some metaphor for life.)

It is a metaphor for an unexamined life.

The "finally" link just goes to the RadioTimes homepage for me.

Also, can we avoid using Google Amp links? It is killing the Web, after all.

The link redirects to the RadioTimes homepage for me too. I think that is Google trying to help out publishers by redirecting to the canonical article URL when you aren’t coming from a place where the AMP version makes sense. RadioTimes just made the silly mistake of marking their homepage as the canonical link, not AMP or Google’s fault.

Normal article link.
AMP version on RadioTimes’ website.

Sorry about the link, everyone. Didn't realise about the AMP thing.

Oh man, Google Amp is such a fucking plague. Not to get too Meta, but if Metafilter could parse and strip Amp links automatically, there would be much rejoicing in these parts. Seriously, fuck Google.
