I just love that Carrie Fisher owned a copy of the novelization of Return of the Jedi.

Also, we had these Burger King glasses back in the day too!

I have to say that I want to buy all Carrie's crazy lamps... and that carpet under her dining table. If only I had a large estate which needed material things.

$250 seems a little steep for the severed heads and hands of Laurel & Hardy; if they were the real ones, maybe, but...

The various lots of unpublished photographs are interesting.

Her original, hand-annotated script for Empire is starting at $30k:

A lot of it seems like estate / garage sale junk, but from a really fancy neighborhood. If you didn't know who it belonged to.

Interesting find: Lot 481: One of the first Apple II computers - serial # A2S1-0082.

Used to inventory the collection, among other things.

If I had the money I would decorate like Carrie Fisher.

I dunno, I don't think I could feel right paying someone to dust all those rococo statuary side tables on a weekly basis.

Maybe those were Debbie's.

Oh my god, Carrie Fisher had her own Princess Leia lego minifig. I mean, of course she did because how awesome is it to have your own lego minifig? It's just so endearing to see it listed among all the (amazing) Art Deco lamps and Hollywood kitsch.

Carrie also had her very own Princess Leia sex doll.

I love that there's fan art. Meaning Carrie got it at some con or something, and kept it, maybe even displayed it, even though it is pretty clearly awful, and now it's being sold to someone, maybe even THAT fan, because of the added value that Carrie looked at, or had it in a closet, or whatever. Celebrity value add is weird, no?

That said, the auction, outside of photos and Hollywood ephemera, looks like any estate sale in a well off neighborhood, for the deceased of a certain age. Some of the things, which I collect, like cast iron banks, are considerably over valued, especially since the auction house is doing none of the delivery coordination.

I miss the Fischer women, and wish this were an auction of the estate of someone I disliked instead. Like maybe something in gold toilet fixtures.

So that's what happened to Jedediah Leland's typewriter from Citizen Kane.

My personal series of reactions:
"Oh, interesting."
"Why did she own all this industrial studio equipment?"
"Holy smokes, they owned a HELL OF A LOT of stuff."

Or that a fan mailed it to her. In one of the Trek documentaries, Denise Crosby talks about and shows some of the random stuff that people have sent her. renault_shocked.jpg: lots of pictures of Tasha Yar naked.
