I have this idea for a new television series. It would be a realistic action show, patterned after the true-life experiences of my dog, Earnest. The name of the show would be: "Adventure Dog."

The theme song would go:
Adventure dog,
Adventure doooooooooogggg
Kinda big, kinda strong
Stupid as a log.

The kitty on a skateboard is the best kitty.

I wish so hard that my kitties could come on the bicycle with me. But I'm scared to even begin the training necessary. If they jump out, that would be terrible! One of my sweet beasties is good on a leash, so I reckon he might like a bike if I could only figure out how to do it safely...

These kinds of things make me wonder what secret hobby my dog, Beetle, would enjoy if only she were exposed to it, but then I remember taking her to the beach and she was scared that the water moved.

I'm less weirded out by cats who like wet hobbies since I got my weirdo kitten Mr S this spring - he loooooves water. He stands around playing in his water dish, sometimes standing in the water, and any time the bathroom sink is run he has to rush in and investigate.

Our Jacqueline also enjoys splashing around in the sink.

I have logged in for the first time in probably... 5 years? (I visit nearly every day)... to share this with you, dear MeFites: Trouble hops into the shower with my husband EVERY DAY. Every damn day. A full shower. And expects a towel-dry massage afterwards. We created a monster, but I did name him, so that's probably on me.

Awwww!! My oldest cat (who is a doppelganger for Trouble) used to perch on the side of the tub while I was showering. I'm glad he never fell in because that would have been a literal bloodbath.

What a good Trouble! My cats have sometimes gotten into the bathtub while I'm showering, but up at the far end where there's not a lot of water splashing. Then they notice the water spattering past me and say "eh" and leave again.

He's a special 18-pound panther, that's for sure! I really do need to video the whole ritual (while preserving mr. cybele's modesty - he can put some boardies/swim trunks on for the occasion, perhaps). The internet needs this content :D
