I can't pretend I'd be thrilled to find one in my home, but viewing from a distance, it's a pretty incredible and beautiful creature!

I dunno. Once the initial shock wears off, it's kinda cute in a heavy metal sort of way.

How can that cameraperson possibly risk getting so close when those giant furry bits are so CLEARLY designed to leap up and latch onto your face, sucking all the juices out of your body and turning you into a shriveled husk in which the moth can lay its eggs???

I mean, beautiful creature, wonder of nature, isn't the universe fascinating etc.

Portrait mode derangement. And it's the size of a fingertip.

Right now I'm just grateful that human males don't have those. I mean, imagine.

Why do I hear that rumbling bass line of "If ya think I'm sexy"?

I enjoyed the revelation that the relative sexiness of each male moth is dependent on how much toxins he ingested while a caterpillar. I imagine this evolved due to cruel pranks and peer pressure on impressionable adolescents. "Go on, Joe! Girls go crazy for a guy who's eaten poison!"

Er, on video. In my house, perhaps not so much.
