This makes me homesick. Miss you, Toronto.

We received our new "raccoon proof" green bins a few weeks ago, and I'm glad to see the Raccoon Assistance Program for Intellectual Development (RAPID) is proceeding nicely.

We used to live in a place where our landlord had shelled out for the really large grey bin. One night I went to put some garbage out and there was one raccoon inside rooting around at the bottom while the other was holding the lid up.

My concern was not that they got into it - I hadn't put the brick on it that we used to keep them out - it was that they had divided up their tasks and were working as a team.

I'm concerned there's some Raccoon Project Management Office (RPMO) managing workstreams somewhere. If there is, I do think they should be investigated by the Ministry of Labour for sending Little Mac up that high without proper fall arrest gear.

You would have to take that up with the Raccoon Arbitration Bureau for Industrial Disputes (RABID).

Watch your hands.

I'm not familiar with any of these "famous" Toronto-area raccoons. I'm only acquainted with the raccoon who likes to come sit on the step just outside the glass door to my attic workroom. He sits there for hours at a time, staring in at me and driving my cat mental. I call him Creeper Coon.
