This little tit-bit appears at the end of the article:

* Cancer-causing chemicals have now overtaken heart disease as the number one killer of Europeans aged between 35 and 65, MPs were warned at a Commons meeting. Dr Claude Reiss, a molecular toxicologist, said experts agreed that 80 to 90 per cent of cancers – 1 million casualties per year in the EU – were attributable to carcinogenic chemicals present in the environment.

Dr. Claude Reiss is totally full of horse manure. How could he possibly say that "experts agreed" on that ridiculous figjure of 80 to 90 percent of cancers attributable to carcinogenic chemicals present in the environment? The fact is that 80 to 90 percent of cancers have no known cause. That's what the experts agree upon. I hope this article isn't satire, and I'm just not getting it.
