Polish movie posters. The Polish Poster Gallery has a fascinating collection of artist renditions of american movie posters. The collection compares favorably with the 50 Greatest Movie Posters, as listed by Premiere magazine.

Great link, patrickje. I love seeing the interpretations of the movies and how they look more like art than a flashy ad.

Also, check out: polishposter.com, which has a good selection of various movies, theatre, and opera posters from around the world.

Interesting link; do you suppose these artists ever actually Saw the films they were postering? 'Jewel of the Nile' via 'Dirty Harry'? Two old guys whispering representing the film 'Willow'? Odd.

wow, they manage to make dreck like crocodile dundee and dirty dancing look watchable. nice.

and, yes, i want the down by law poster, too.
