If you've ever been to a so called "intelligent" techno club like the berlin-based WMF you know what I mean. But, an animated NIKE-Logo would be cool too...

The battery-powered optical-fibre fabric should "open new horizons for fashion designers..." Won't somebody please think of the fashion designers?!?!? But seriously, I think this is really neat. Sure there are a ton of commercial possibilities, but the whole concept of optical-fibre fabric makes me all excited for the future in a jet-pack kind of way, instead of making me dread the future in an environmental disaster, eat our young to live kind of way. Plus it could very well hasten the advent of Lit Wear.

I just found this on the same site and I felt it was acually more interesting that LCD paint has been realized. Entire walls, cielings, and curtains can become TV screens--think of the possibilities once they find a means to preserve/protect the thin outer layer!

for some reason, the thought of pr0n on tshirts came to my mind. one may initially think that this wouldn't be an issue considering you don't see people wearing pr0n tshirts now. but having the ability to change what is displayed on your shirt instantaneously can make things quite interesting. imagine someone is walking down the street with the care bears playing on their shirt, and then a big ol' cock comes out of no where. i mean, wtf? damn that tyler durden. don't mind me, i'm just crazy.

People already do crazy stuff like this with EL wire. Go to Burning Man and you will see acres of glowing colours bent into all kinds of shapes, like miniature neon. I'm sure this new technology will go over just as well when the components are readily available. I also doubt we'll see companies putting out video-logo T-shirts anytime soon; this is expensive stuff, and the people who are likely to be interested in it will have their own ideas about what it should look like. It's too bad glowy stuff goes over poorly at the clubs I frequent... -Mars
