Fashion comes and goes, but art that might have come from the side of a van is forever. The cover artists from Dragon magazine, a staple of my pimply years, all have websites now, from Keith Parkinson to the ghastly Clyde Caldwell to Larry Elmore (who is putting his old Dragon comic, SnarfQuest, online). The grand master of bodacious barbarian babe art, Frank Franzetta, has a site, too. Relive your adolescence through gleaming swords, vanquished dragons, and hyperdefined musculature! (Warning: Not all pictures are work-safe.)

Right-click the picture but don't release the button, then hit the return key to dismiss the pop-up window, then release the right mouse button, you should then be able to select "open in new window".

Or, you know, hold down shift and click.

I've only ever read one Dragon magazine. I must have run in the wrong crowds, because fantasy and RPGs were never something my friends cared for, even though I kind of liked them. It didn't help that most of my family and the teachers at my school thought D&D was satanic.

Me too! I bought every issue 1-50. From the newstand. And still have them in the basement carefully stored away for when they will be worth millions.
