This is so cool. I've always wondered what would happen if I put weird stuff in a microwave but never had the courage (stupidity?) to do it! What I really wanted to know what happens if you microwave an egg...(Quicktime file) posted by Lynsey at 10:36 PM on May 24, 2002
Step 2 of making Kraft Easy Mac is: microwave macaroni in water for 3-1/2 to 4 minutes. When you open the oven, you find that each little piece of macaroni is standing up straight, as if at attention! posted by Junker George at 1:38 PM on May 25, 2002

If you put one of those silvery reflecto-browning thingys on a empty ceramic plate in an old microwave oven, the plate will shatter. Neat, huh?

I once microvaved easy mac without water too. Green smoke just poured out, until I smelled something, and looked at the microwave. The hall just stank for about 6 or seven doors down, and our room was awful. posted by stoneegg21 at 5:27 PM on May 25, 2002
