There is reason to be concerned.

This post was deleted for the following reason: Heya, there's an active Jordan Peterson thread, let's keep this in there. -- cortex

For the TL;DR crowd, Jordan Peterson gained notoriety several years ago for refusing to abide by U of T's policy on using gendered pronouns in the classroom, and he also opposed a proposed law at the time that, among other things, extended hate speech provisions under Canada's criminal code to transgendered people.

Peterson became a key player in the "freedom of speech" movement in Canada and the US, where "freedom of speech" essentially meant the freedom to be cruel and ungenerous.

It would be great to ask that divorced dad, 30 years out of uni, on your Facebook timeline who loves Jordan Peterson and "free speech on campus" about transgender rights. Forget talking about Peterson's book.

Peterson is an ugly little man.
