For some reason, Chunk’s mom reminds me of Uncle Monty’s relationship to his cat.

I've mentioned this on the site before but I love shithead pets. Not pets that are mean or necessarily badly behaved...just pets that always seem like they are either about to be up to some shit or are already in the process of being up to some shit. If I walk by a cat or dog and want to ask it wtf it's up to - that's the pet for me.

We have a little-shit dog, Taco (seen in his normal state here). He's getting better, incrementally. Still.. the Twitter story of my commentary would be similar. A passing neighbor once described him as a busy-body , which is the most accurate description. Anyhow - the section about Chunk peeing on everything including the dogs and human is hilarious and relatable.

I'm so glad someone posted this. Cherie and I have been professionally at some events at the same time and have been social media buddies since LJ, so I wasn't sure if I could, and didn't want to bug a mod to ask.

Although I am tired of that moment of anxiety when I'm out running or cycling, and get run up on by an out of control dog, and have to wonder "is this one going to bite? nip at my heels? dart under my wheels?" Or wonder if a fence is high enough, or a struggling dog walker is strong enough, to keep them back.
These words are cute but the chain of events is distressing.

I follow Cherie Priest on social media, and have read most of her books, solely because of her animal pictures and stories. This one was the first one to get me. (Quoted on a different blog, because her livejournal is long dead.)
