This is Kellar. He is a three-year-old English Springer, and he was born completely blind. And this is Kellar playing fetch. [h/t Miss Cellania]

My blind-from-birth cat was an incredible bug hunter. And she caught a rat once. Damndest thing.

For more blind dog cuteness, follow the adventures of Laila, the whippet with the extremely contained zoomies, who loves playing with her catfrand Bob, and (like so many of us) is excited for Fridays.

The blind dog playing fetch was seriously amazing, but the other dog not joining in? Waiting happily for their turn? I have never seen such a thing.

Kellar is a goodboye! When my lab went completely blind at a young age, this is how we did fetch on land and in the water. Except where this lady said "warmer" and "passed it" we would say "keep going" and "too far." Goodboyes don't need much training. They teach themselves and you just put a word on it and start saying commands so they repeat the behavior.

PS Should his name be Keller?

Aw dogs are amazing. Also, the other two doggos! So good, how they recognize it's Kellar's fetch time and don't rush to intercept the ball!

The weirdest things make me cry these days.

Oh my heart!

As a person with a physical disability this hit me right in the feels.

There's a special place in heaven for people who say Thank You to their dogs. The only higher place is where we also say Excuse Me when they're in the way or we burp in front of them.

I hope they didn't feel like we wouldn't have enjoyed watching the other good boy getting his turn. Because we would have.
