Today is the seventh anniversary of the launch of Jeffrey Zeldman Presents. Is this the longest running weblog/journal/daily report?

Good question. That's a long long time. I still remember his first design.

Happy anniversary, Daily Report.

I think DaveNet / Scripting News is the longest running weblog. (Or so he claims here). His archives go back to '94.

Dave Winer:
I did my first weblog in February 1996, as part of the 24 Hours of Democracy website. It helped glue the community together, along with a mail list that was hosted by AOL. In April 1996 I started a news page for Frontier users, which became Scripting News on 4/1/97.
Jeffrey Zeldman:
Fun facts about zeldman.com:
Billing itself as “Jeffrey Zeldman Presents” (a none-too-subtle nod to “Alfred Hitchcock Presents”) this site premiered in May 1995.
and:
The site always included daily text on a root-level page called coming.html, though visitors mostly ignored that page until the late 1990s.

mfbridges, Dave will be very happy to see that someone has tasted his Kool-Aid. Of course, your mention assures us that he won't come here and get pissed that he's not mentioned in the thread, so I guess we have to thank you.

Also, happy birthday, Jeffrey...
