Saw this earlier...by far, one of the funniest Conan bits I've ever seen. Triumph is such a bastard. I highly recommend everyone take the time to download this. It is definitely worth it.

Cyrano: Triumph is a pooch handpuppet whose schtick is insulting people in man-in-the-street interviews. His catchphrase "for me to poop on" works sorta the way NOT used to: "This is a great place... (NOT!) (for me to poop on!)"

I wasn't able to view this at work, but I did see the Bon Jovi segment at Ifilm and I just about laughed 'til I pooped.

btw, Bon Jovi deserve praise for being such great sports about it. Can't imagine many other rock bands putting up with something like that.

I still prefer Slim Organbody with Dweezil and Ahmet Zappa from about 8 years ago or so, but that's just me.

Anybody remember when Pets.com tried to sue Robert Smeigel (creator of Triumph and the TV Funhouse cartoons on SNL), saying that Triumph was a rip-off of their sock puppet? The stench of desperation was heavy in the air. I do have to admit, it was a novel way to try to raise funds...

For those interested, Something Awful had a bizarre/semi-pathetic phone conversation with the guy who calls himself "Dragon Master" in the Conan clip.

Triumph is pretty much a direct rip-off of 'Ed the Sock Puppet' from some forgotten Canadian show way back when, I reckon.

But he is about 17 million times funnier (no really, I counted). All hail the sock puppet!

i found myself trying to remember what the hell han solo was frozen in, so it was hilarious when he said "no, the correct answer is 'who gives a shit?'"

great clip, and i noticed that the fans took it all in good humor. i think it's fantastic that people dressed up like that. hey, they may be nerds but they're a hell of a lot more interesting than a bunch of brokers at happy hour. well, at least for the first 5 minutes ;-)
