Scooby Dos and Scooby Don'ts is a podcast that aims to review every single episode, special, movie and other narrative-based product in the Scooby Doo franchise (including stat counts and property damage tallies). Currently, they're up to the chaotic and nostalgic 'wilderness years' of the 90's and early 00's, but still have many movies/special and four (going on five) entire TV series to go, and plan to pick up the podcast whenever new media is released thereafter.

Where do they stand on the vile Scrappy Doo?

I once shared a house with a guy who loved Scrappy Doo. Turned out about as well as you'd expect given that predilection...

I'm torn between being impressed with their monomaniacal devotion to a niche hobby and thinking, "they really felt a need to add *this* to the din?"

But I've felt that way pretty much constantly since about 2012.

I caught the Scooby-Doo/Batman crossover specials recently, and of course Batman and Robin had to be sidetracked most of the time, because otherwise there's no way a Scooby-Doo plot would stand up to Batman and Robin's brand of hyper-competence.

Where do they stand on the vile Scrappy Doo?

The dog's nephew, also a dog, a little puppy, actually talks very well.

Only tenuously relevant but I've been listening to the similarly structured You Don't Know Mojack podcast, where two Canadian dudes work their way through every single release put out by seminal punk/amerindie label SST Records in order by catalog number.

Or the very dark Venture Brothers version.

I hope they hit on the Scooby Doo / Johnny Bravo crossover.

I'm guessing this is ironic because Scooby Doo rather famously had one plot that it reused for every episode?

Do they review the XXX parody? I made it through some of the review of Decoy for a Dognapper and the subject came up; they didn't intend to. The original cartoon is here and I am proud to announce that I worked out who the villain was.

I was right in the target demographic for "Scooby Doo" when the first version came out, so I'm very comfortable saying that every iteration of the show has been fucking terrible, except for "Mystery Inc ".

There's also a terrific episode of Batman: The Brave and the Bold that's styled after their Scooby-Doo appearances, right down to having a Special Guest Star -- "Weird Al" Yankovic!

Oh wow, I'm not sure how I missed it, but Googling reveals there might actually be a movie-length BatB/Scooby-Doo DVD release....

Their signoff keeps sounding like they're saying "Scooby-dubious" and now I want to find some excuse to start using that in conversation.

Mystery, Inc. was good in its way but Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! is genius. A Pup Named Scooby-Doo was also fantastic. As are quite a few of the DTV movies including the live action ones. Curse Of The Lake Monster and Daphne And Velma are both a lot of fun.
