The 40 best from over 45,000 entries to London's Natural History Museum. This is the best representation among several sites with these photos. The images reveal the abundance, beauty, resilience, and vulnerability of life on Earth. The winning photos were chosen from more than 45,000 entries from 95 countries for their artistic composition, technical innovation, and truthful interpretation of the natural world.

These are terrific! #38 (the newts) reminded me a bit of a Hieronymus Bosch painting. I also vote for #49 (romance-minded adders) for those wanting a more creative Valentine's Day card.

The multiple treehopper/ant (and bee) photos were really interesting.

The arachnophobic may want to zip on by #26, however (a huntsman doing its thing).

I think you should try the Natural History Museum in London, who ran this contest. There must be a way. Good luck.
