And when I'm old and I've had my fun, I'll sell my inventions so that everyone can be producers. *Everyone* can be a producer! And when everyone's a producer...

*no one* will be.

The second link is to the Sun Newspaper and a heads up before clicking on that would have been much appreciated.

It is admittedly trashy, but are there other reasons why it might need a content warning?

Well, Irvine Welsh and some friends (among them Kris Needs) did do some house tracks back in 1997 as Hibee Nation and The Innocent Party. So this isn't totally unprecedented, so to speak.

There are probably many reasons, but this is one of them.

And when everyone's a producer... *no one* will be.

I know you're mostly joking and likely quoting something, but this is the end philosophical goal of house culture - no one is a spectator, and everyone is an artist and performer whether they are musician, DJ, dancer or other.

The reality is is that not everyone can be a producer even given the tools because not everyone has what it takes to make desirably pleasing music or art even with the right tools, and not everyone even wants to in the first place.

So, go ahead and invite everyone to be a producer. I've been doing it for over two decades. I'm still doing it.

The only real risk is that there's more art and music out there, and it still follows Sturgeon's Law. There is no real risk of everyone being a producer, because few people have the patience, talent and skill for it.

Open the gates. There's no magic in here except for hard work.

So I still have at least two years to decide what I want to be when I grow up! Cool!
