I needed a Flash-detect script for a project, and finally found one that actually works properly.

yup. Colin's the man on all things Flash. There are a lot of good actionscript + other tutorials on his site also, as well as some nice paintings...The detection script is still somewhat in beta, though I haven't been able to break it yet.

Unless you're using a mac version IE 4.x, which doesn't allow the detection of plugins. But hopefully everyone went and got version 5, which is sweet.
