Pope Defrocks Theodore McCarrick

Scoring one of the biggest clerical takedowns in history, Pope Francis finally removed Theodore McCarrick Will these stories never end?

The NYT story suggests rumors of the Washington, D.C. cardinal's errant ways had circulated for years and that "Mr. McCarrick had been dismissed after he was tried and found guilty of several crimes, including soliciting sex during confession."

Solicitation during confession???? Boggles this old Latin mass-learning Irish altar boy, circa 1955.

Interesting how the His (former) Eminence has so quickly become "Mr. McCarrick." And where was he tried and found guilty? I'm guessing an internal Vatican tribunal, but will he ever have to answer for the pain he inflicted on these boys?
