Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner is a supercut of food scenes in animated movies by The Royal Ocean Film Society, a.k.a. Andy M. Saladino.

I had a very visceral, yet varied reaction to this. Some parts made me intensely hungry, while other cuts were bizarrely revolting. Tellingly, the sweets provoked the negative response, the savory, the mouth watering.

And I doubt I can be the only one disappointed that the ratatouille scene cut away just as the food critic took the bite. I don’t think there’s a better visual description of the power of food and memory than that scene. It’s a glorious moment of cinema, one of the rarest moments of pure truth I’ve seen in a movie.

I started the video wondering if they'd show that weird plastic looking steak from The Incredibles. That thing always weirds me out.

Other than that, it was a very nice selection (Including Fantasia 2000!).

This feels a little bit like watching Tampopo, which is a good thing.

No real food ever looks as good as anime food.
