Frankly I'm surprised that they used some kind of cipher instead of just emojis.

There's some interesting ideas here - the post-human creatures huddling in infrastructure they didn't build and can't maintain, having petty fights over status, and the inability to build something of permanence because all of their interactions are ephemeral. I also liked the implied ecosystem, but I can't help but shake off the feeling that the creators arrived at an idea - what if social network but more - and stopped when they arrived at the conclusion they liked rather than pulling on that thread to the end. These 'post-humans' interact with their pervasive social networks exactly like humans from 2015 do.

Honestly I felt like the amazing costumes alone made it worth sharing!

What did I just watch and why.

That. Was. AWESOME!

of course it might be the old punk rock I'm listening to while watching it but I think that may just be coincidence.

Yeeeaaahhhh, that was cool. The costumes. The environments. The shots. The sound. The music. Really fantastic. Impressive.

I'm not so concerned about the story/setting/message/point. The clip could have just been funky people-things doing funky things in funky places looking and sounding funky, and that would have been fine with me. Funky people-things doing normal people-thing social media things was worth a smirk at least.

Very cool. That first creature looked like what would happen if Chewbacca had babies with a Cyclops-Christmas-Tree decorated with a lot of garland. Just visited Montreal in March. That place is too cold for this Californian! Maybe all that snow mixed with a French influence spurs creativity like this? I wonder what Bollywood movies would look like if the French colonized most of India instead of the British?

I dunno...I just spent 39 hours in airports. This doesn't make the experience feel anymore magical. Creating slow, surreal nightmares out of brutalist architecture and $50 worth of Party City swag doesn't seem that fun anymore. I mean...It's shot good.

If post-humans can't evolve their social networks beyond upvotes and downvotes a la Reddit then they'll have failed as a species.

I... don't get it. It was visually interesting, though.

I liked Drier Duct Face.

My reaction to it was coloured strongly by reading the description first, I'll admit.

More worrisome than a future where everyone is mediated by social media is a future where all social currency is modern dance.
